Martin Luther King, Jr., A Special Man

This is an entry written and illustrated by Michaela.

Martin_Luther_King_jr.jpgI learned a lot about Martin Luther King, Jr. at school.  I learned that he gave a speech in 1963 to 250,000 people called, "I Have A Dream".  His speech was about wanting freedom and wanting people and kids to get along.

I have a dream.  I hope there will be no homeless animals.  I hope that we will still live in peace.  I hope we will always remember Martin Luther King, Jr.

I'm with you on the animals, Granddaughter. And it would also be nice if people got along.

Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.

You are very special.

This is a very special picture, Michaela. You learned a lot of good things about Dr. King. You also have a wonderful dream, and I hope you see people helping your dream come true. Remembering Dr. King is a good thing. I'm very proud of you!

Oh, sweetheart, you are a very eloquent young lady. My favorite part is that you think of the well being of all living creatures not just people. Also, you did such a nice job coloring so many different kinds of people listening to Mr. King in your picture. Well done!

If you have any homeless animals, Soggibottom can always squeeze in one more - honestly !
As long as it doesn't slither.... x x x
