This is us, 37 years ago, one week before Christmas. I cried all the way down the aisle, on my Dad's arm, and he kept telling me to keep my head up. Don memorized his vows right before the ceremony, When he said them, you could hear him all through the church. We were married by the Archbishop of my diocese, which impressed the older folks immensely, although he was pastor at my church, so it wasn't anything special to me! It is now. And of course, Don remains the most special of that wonderful day that started our life together.
