We convinced Jack, our grandson (who is 5 years old today, 11/15/08, which is also deer season opener), to leave the computer and go for a walk. He took us over to an elementary school and introduced us to the pavement paintings by the playground. Here he is showing Gramma how to play an innovative game of hopscotch on a map of the U.S. The map concept isn't that interesting, so he's doing what he can with what is available. That's a good attitude.
Jack and Gramma try to figure out this stylized hopscotch diagram. Note that Gramma has heaved the marker all the way to the yellow square. She throws like a girl.
Alright, this is more like it. Jack shows us how you do this thing. He has remarkable balance, not to mention a youthful springiness.
Jack is also a remarkable salesman. He convinced Gramma to hop, even though she knew there was a camera at the ready. This kid may become President someday.

HAHAHA! I love it. Note to Don: she is a girl, and I bet I can throw further than most men... well, okay not MOST men, but I can throw pretty far. Can I use a cannon?
And Michele is just proving what an amazing Gramma she is. And I will vote for Jack as President any day with a creative mind like that.
I'll bet you can throw further than me. I have a shoulder injury from wielding an assegai in the Boer War. Very interesting story.
Oh sure... throw the ole "War Wound" story on me. How can I compete with that?
Wait... weilding an assegai? Yeah, you'll have to share that story.
